Thoughts on Blockchain from a Recent Webinar.

Yesterday, I spoke at the University of Tennessee Supply Chain Leaders Forum on innovation. The presentation focused on nine themes. One of the nine was blockchain. I asked the audience for a show of hands to understand how many of the supply chain leaders in the room were testing blockchain. I saw no raised hands.

Whew! It Is Finally Happening.

I am an old gal. In six months, I will raise a toast to my sixtieth birthday. It is hard for me to believe that I am that old and still working. Many of my friends are retiring. The industry is in flux. Daily, I get notices from Linkedin of job changes. Sometimes, I ask myself, "Where has time gone?" Other times I celebrate how much I have learned.

It will be a long time before I retire. I have a long memory. It is good today to celebrate something that I wished could have happened 14 years ago.

Whew! It Is Finally Happening.

Yes, I Am a Zealot. I Still Believe. Do You?

I take supply chain seriously. My friends might tell you TOO seriously.  I think that the entire world should. I believe that better supply chain practices can save the world, and I think that it makes a difference in warfare and welfare. I think that it is at the core of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Yes, I am an unabashed zealot.

I have been at it for a long time. I have gray hair. Some even call me a Shaman. Some use worse names.

Yes, I Am a Zealot. I Still Believe. Do You?
